Died whilst a Prisoner of War. Buried Heverlee, Leuven, Belgium.

Gallipoli, Italy: Death of Able Seaman Signalman William Grierson, Royal Navy, aged 21. Died of influenza. Buried Gallipoli Cemetery, Italy.

THE INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC. Influenza is spreading throughout the district with alarming rapidity. When the schools reopened on Tuesday after the potato lifting, it was found that a very large percentage was absent from Auchtermuchty School. Fife News.

France: Death of Private Robert Taylor, Lovat Scouts, aged 27. Died of pneumonia.

INFLUENZA - The influenza scourge continues to spread. During the week now fewer than 10 of the shops have been closed for a shorter or longer period while no deaths fall to be recroded with the Burgh of Auchtermuchty, four have taken place in the surrounding district. Fife News.
